I began my photography journey by photographing my younger siblings, and I've found that it has given me a unique vantage point because I have had the opportunity to see just how quickly they change, how quickly they grow up, and how quickly life- as we know it- will be gone.
It's cliche because it's true. Time flies.
Now that I'm a mom, I want to capture every memory and moment with my children... and I want to do the same for you!
Why I Do What I Do
As a camera-shy introvert, I know what it feels like to duck and run away every time a camera is pointed my direction. That's why I am uniquely gifted in helping my fellow awkward-in-front-of-cameras people become comfortable during their photo session-- and even have a blast while they're at it!
My passion is helping fellow awkward-in-front-of-cameras people become comfortable and have an absolute blast getting their portraits taken! Because when your kids look back on their childhood photos, they need to see you too.
As a mama, I understand the desire to stay behind the camera and photograph your sweet, adorable, photogenic babies. Really, I do. I understand wanting to "get pictures over with" because you don't know what to do with yourself... especially your hands!
If you struggle getting up the courage to be in front of the camera, don't despair. I've got years of experience and lots of tricks for making even the most camera-phobic person relax and genuinely have fun getting their portraits taken.

As mamas, we're always behind the camera. We have hundreds- if not thousands- of photos of our kids on our phones, and yet almost none of us doing life with them. We know they grow up fast, so we snap pictures to keep these memories alive... but all of these memories don't include you. One day those photos will be all your kids have to remember you by. My goal is that when your children look back on their childhood photos, they see you too!

I'm the oldest of six kids.
My husband is the oldest of six.
It's no surprise, then, that we now have six kids of our own.
We've called Michigan "home" for the last 5 1/5 years, and currently reside on a small homestead with a couple milk goats, and a dog.
Homeschooling, homemaking, and homesteading take up the majority of my time. But when I'm not busy at one of those, you can often find me with a camera in my hand, documenting our perfectly imperfect life.
